MSU Memorial
Museum

The aim was to create a temporary museum that drew inspiration from Morgan State University, incorporating four key elements. These included a Frederick Douglass Statue, the Report of the Commission on Higher Education of Negroes to the Governor and Legislature, a portrayal of the Evolution of Negro Colleges in America, notably represented by a mural crafted by Charles Stallings measuring 11 feet by 82 feet, and a reference to Morgan State University represented by the Holmes Hall Clock Tower.

Through the Horizon left

I created a Voronoi Pillar system in Rhino Grasshopper that supports the structure and also conceals electric wiring and plumbing pathways to the cafe. This algorithm optimizes connection paths, and the entire system is 100% 3D-printed, making it ideal for a temporary museum.

A section of the Voronoi Structure has been strategically designed alongside a walkway, providing passive circulation to visitors with an enjoyable outdoor experience.

The Upper Courtyard serves as another homage to the Morgan State campus. Strolling through this area towards the clock tower would evoke nostalgia for any Morgan State alumni.
